Fragmented Memories

Project Type

Project Proposal

Location

Dubai Creek

Date

Mar 2020

Fragmented Memories” is a mid-rise museum design proposal located at the sea shore of Dubai, inspired by the sea shell and the rich history of pearl diving in Arabic culture. The concept revolves around fragmented spaces, each offering a unique and dynamic experience to visitors.

The design uses light and shadow to create an immersive journey through the museum, enhancing both the visual and psychological experiences of the visitors. The fragmented spaces are carefully crafted to evoke the feeling of discovering hidden treasures, much like finding pearls in the sea.

The museum’s architecture reflects the organic forms of sea shells, with curves and spirals that guide visitors through the space. The use of materials such as pearl-like finishes and reflective surfaces further enhances the theme, creating a sense of elegance and mystique.

“Fragmented Memories” aims to not only showcase the history of pearl diving but also to create an unforgettable experience that leaves a lasting impression on visitors, inviting them to explore and discover the beauty of Arabic culture.
